Attitude Of Gratitude

Mind, Body & Soul

The Holidays are upon us once again…oh how fast time flies!!

It feels like it was just a few weeks ago that I was packing away all my outdoor furniture for the winter.

So now, with a  new year new approaching, its a time for new beginnings.  Stop and reflect on all that you have to be grateful for.

There is no better way to attract the ‘positive into your life, than having an ‘Attitude of Gratitude.

In fact…

…if you sit down and start a list of all that you have to be grateful for, you will most likely be amazed at how long the list becomes.

Too many people dwell on how much they don’t have.

If you learn to stop those negative thoughts dead in their track…

…turn a negative into a positive,

…you will begin to attract the love, peace and happiness that so many are longing for in their lives.

Remember the laws of the universe…

…like attracts like!!

Make it a goal for the new year to work on changing thoughts of

‘Oh if I only had…’

to…

‘I am so grateful that I have…’

Negative or Positive thoughts are simply that…thoughts!

Most people believe that their thoughts control them and they become prisoners of their own mind and emotions.

I want to share a secret with you…

…you can control you thoughts. It just takes practice and persistence.  But  aren’t most things that are worth while in life??

Once you train your mind to find the positive in every situation, you will begin to feel lighter and happier.  Carrying around all those negative feelings is  like  carrying around thousand pound rocks all day long, day after day.

So here’s what I’m asking from you today…

I want you to go, right now, and grab a pen and a piece of paper.

Sit down and start jotting down everything, big and small, that you are grateful for in your life.  You don’t have to complete it in one sitting…keep adding to it as new thoughts pop into your head.

Be sure to keep the list where you can always read it.

Now, when you awake each day, think about all the good that is in your life.  Fill your mind, all day long, with beautiful thoughts.

In time, you will not want to let your mind think any other way because it feels…oh so good!!

Having an Attitude of Gratitude is the only way to think!

Today, I want you to know…

…I  am sincerely grateful for you reading and sharing my posts.  I also want you to know that I appreciate you.   :)

Get rid of negative thoughts today! They drag you down, and make you feel bad about yourself.

Did you know that it’s your choice to be the way you are? I know you may not believe this.

Stop and think about it though, if you continuously tell yourself things that upset you, and make you miserable, it should be within your power to tell yourself positive information that will make you feel fantastic.

It’s surprising how easy it is to feed your mind about things you can’t do, or aren’t any good at, don’t you think? In fact when you are constantly negative thinking you are reinforcing within yourself all the horrible stuff that makes you feel bad.

Why not change those thoughts into positive words? Each time you hear yourself say “I can’t do that,” get rid of that thought and say “Yes, I can do that,” and see how good it feels.

The mere act of changing your can’t do thought, with a can do one, will give you a confidence boost, and make you feel better. It really will! Give it a try.

Imagine how great you will feel each time you catch your negative words, and replace them with positive ones.

Remember, it’s your choice. If you want to be a positive thinking person, get rid of negative thoughts, and refuse to let them rule your life any longer!

    Hi Glen,
Negative thoughts absolutely drag one down. It takes some work to replace the old ‘negative’ with
new ‘positive’ thoughts…but well worth it in the end.

Remember…its a choice…if you think you can OR you think you can’t…either way…you’re right!

    Sharon,
An attitude of gratitude is essential I think! You’re so right in saying that by being thankful for what you do have in your life it will attract more of that into your presence.

One key I found was when something good happens, I used to chalk it up to luck or chance. Now I realize it is really happening because I’m attracting it through gratitude of like things. Did I say that correctly? LOL Hope you know what I mean. :)

Very timely reminder for anytime of year. Gratitude will always win out over negativity in my book!

    Hi Val,
Having the right attitude IS so essential.

I understand completely what you mean…Most people do exactly what you used to do, which was make
excuses for why good things happen. Its SO SIMPLE yet people make it so hard…we attract what we give out!!

Grattitude always wins in my book too!!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Val :)
