So, you want to be an entrepreneur…
…you have all these big dreams about how you want your life to be, high hopes of accomplishing all the goals you have set for yourself, how you want to live a life of financial freedom, of creating your destiny and controlling your life instead of it controlling you, and then…
…in creeps the big, huge, ugly, controlling ‘F’ word.
FEAR!
Fear of…
… failing, of not saying the right thing, of not accomplishing your goals, of looking stupid, of doing or thinking different than others, of falling flat on your face, of what others might say, of being wrong, of feeling insecure, of loosing, of doubting yourself…
… fear of taking a chance because you don’t know what the outcome will be!
You started out with the best of intentions, and then somehow, it grabs hold of you…
…mind, body, and soul. You didn’t even see it coming.
Sometimes, it can be paralyzing, stopping you dead in your tracks! This huge, ugly word will keep you from being who you are… if you let it!
We’ve all shaken hands with the unwanted feeling at one time or another. Some stay stuck in its vicious cycle , others, can push it away. Why?
Because they have wrapped their minds around…
…doing things no matter what!
Don’t ever think for a second that the people who look like they have it all together, never experience that ugly feeling of fear. You are dead wrong! Everyone does, they just have learned how to not let it control who they are.
Be who you are, be true to yourself, hold your head up high.
Sometimes you will fail, sometimes you will look foolish, sometimes you will feel so unsure of yourself, but…
… if you stay true to who you are, and push thur the fears,
I can promise you…
…you will be all the more better of a person for having done so!
You must never stop being who you are for any one or anything…especially because of fear.
I can also promise you this, you will miss out on so much of life if…
… you let yourself be controlled by it.
So…
Never stop being who you are because of Fear!
Help me spread the word! Lets help others who let fear control them. Share this post with others so they can learn how to NOT let fear control them. You can use the buttons above or below this post.
To Being Who You Are,

Hello Sharon,
One way to confront fear is to take a look at your thoughts. If you are really looking, you will find that what your are thinking is a pre-living of a worst case scenario related to what it is that you are “afraid” of. Unless it is a real and reasonable fear such as jumping from a high place where there is real danger, one way to deal with it and to reverse the fear is to pre-live the best possible outcome in as much detail as you were putting into the negative one. When we feel afraid, we are experiencing each part of the outcome in excruciating detail. Instead, experience each part of the outcome in unbounded joy and excitement and the fear will disappear.
Great post. Hope this wasn’t too long.
Thank you,
Sandy

Hi Sandy,
Its all in the mindset…what we let our minds think, that in turn will control us. Great strategy that you shared…change your thinking around and envision the out come as a positive one!
Thanks for stopping by and sharing

Does anyone remember the saying “There is nothing to fear but fear itself”? Fear is a giant block to people. The trick I believe is to identify it and come to grips with it head on. Sometimes therapy works, affirmations, or even hypnosis. There are many ways to fight fear, but we must fight it. If we don’t we make poor choices based on fear. And that my friends, NEVER works!

Hi Donna,
I absolutely remember that saying! How true it is. We tend to build the fear up in our minds to be greater than it actually is.
We must push thru because otherwise, like you say, we will make poor choices based on our fears!

Sharon

Hi Sharon,
a great article. One of the best acronyms of the word FEAR I know is False Evidence Appearing Real. The author: Robert Kiyosaki. Keep up your great work and take care.

So true, Sharon. Fear is the one thing we must look beyond if we are going to move forward. It’s power to stop us in our tracks is only the power we feed it.
Thanks for some great inspiration, Sharon.

Hi Sharon,
Really interesting your post! You have to commit, to find good motivations, believe in what you do and who you are, and have big dreams. After that, the confidence will be there and you will be able to forget fears.

Hola Sharon!
I have to say… I loved this post! I think you’re telling exactly everything that an entrepreneur lives constantly.
Of course everybody have fears… otherwise they wouldn’t be humans. The thing is… do you let them to change your life or you face them? I think that makes the difference between those who reach their goals and those who don’t.

Hi Sharon,
Fear…, what a familiar feeling, but once you learn how to deal with it, you know that this is another emotion that necesarily we have to control.
My strategy is to face my fears a.s.a.p, exposing myself to the situations I’m most afraid of… in Spanish we call it “correr pa’lante” (run forward).
Thanks a lot Sharon, for your always helpful insights.

Hi Raisa,
Its an all to familiar feeling to all of us!
Love your strategy of facing your fears right away…by running forward. As long as we keep falling forward, we are ok. Its when we let fear grab hold of us…that’s when there’s trouble.

Sharon

Sharon,
That four letter word which can make or break anything you wish to accomplish. Staying true to your dreams and visions, holding on tight and stepping forward is the best way to conquer this fear. Before you know it, you’ll be wondering what was so scary after all!
Thanks for sharing motivation to combat our mind’s fears. Stepping into it!

Hi Sharon!
Do not do anything for fear of making a mistake is a mistake and stay in the familiar fear of the unknown, is to stay alive but not living
I really liked your post has motivated me to leave the fears aside and face the success!

How true Magali,
Not doing anything because of fear is absolutely a huge mistake! Too many stay in the fear…
…they are uncomfortable to experience the unknown. They are truely missing out!

Great Sharon!
… what about the fear of living a dull life until the ultimate day that, defeated,we leave our dull world?
As Marilyn Ferguson said “Ultimately we know deeply that the other side of every fear is a freedom”
Thanks for your insights!
