Mindset, Spirituality

Hey There, Welcome back! If you enjoy this post, be sure you subscribe to my newsletter to get all my blog posts delivered straight to your inbox.

Yes, its true!  We all Have the power to change…

…our minds, our thoughts, our lives, our relationships!

Think about it, today is the first day of the rest of your life.  Are you happy with the path your life is on? Where do you see yourself tomorrow, next month, next year, how about…

5 years from now?

Really thinks about this…Where do you see yourself 5 years from now. Does that thought excite you?   Or… does it scare the heck out of you?

If you don’t like what you see, make a change! Figure out what is not working and change it. Whether its business, leadership, relationships, etc., go find information and study it. Go find successful people and study what they do. Change begins within yourself and each and everyone one of us has the power to do it.   Listen to my words of encouragement…

Yes I know, change is very scary, but its the only way to get on the path to where you want to go.

If you fear change, then change that feeling of ‘fear’ to…

…a feeling of ‘excitement’ about experiencing something new!

When there is change, it’s a new beginning. Look at today as the beginning of the rest of your life.

Always remember…

You ARE good, you ARE strong, you ARE compassionate, and caring. You ARE worthy and deserving of success in all areas of your life. Don’t EVER, for a second, sell yourself short!

I would love to hear your thoughts so leave me a comment below.

Share this encouragement with all of your friends, I’m sure they’ll appreciate it!

Since you’ always planning with your mind
(when you worry you are planning Unwanted thinghs, and
when you imagine something pleasant you are planning Wanted things),
I think it’s worth planning something beautiful.

You are creating your future second by second!
This post resonates perfectly with one of my latest’s post :)

I agree with you that change is vital to our lives. I am not one of these people who likes change for change’s sake, but I know that there are times when things weren’t working, but I was just afraid to step out and do something different for fear that that wouldn’t work, either. Thank you for a new perspective.

Yes Steve, Change is a scary thing sometimes but its absolutely vital to our lives…especially if
we want to keep growing and moving forward.

Just remember, each time you welcome change, it gets easier and you will begin to look forward to the
    new growth it brings. :)

What a wonderful and wise post, Sharon! It reminded me of some lyrics from an old song by Trooper called “Raise a Little Hell”:

“If you don’t like what you got why don’t you change it?
If your world is all screwed up, rearrange it?”

When I was 22 years old (many moons ago), I remember looking in the mirror one day thinking, “is this what the rest of my life is going to be like? Going to work 8+ hours per day, 5+ days per week until I’m 65+ years old. It was depressing to think about.

At about the same time I watched the running of the New York city Marathon. I then decided I was going to run a marathon – or die trying. That decision changed my life. (I ran the 1987 NY City Marathon and many more afterword). That single decision also changed the way I looked at the world and how I have made decisions since then. Life is about taking a risks and trying to do the impossible. It’s about discovery realizing that short.

That’s enough for now. Obviously your post triggered a response. Nice job.

You took a chance to change (and at such a young age) and look what happened…it changed
your whole life!!! That is so awesome, very happy for you!!

Your experience is the exact message I want to get across to people…making change, however uncomfortable and scarry it may be, could prove to be the best decision they might make.

Thanks so much for sharing your story :)

Most people rust out due to lack of challenge. Few people rust out due to lack of use. If we don’t change we don’t move forward. If we don’t more forward and just stand still, we will be like the Tin Man when Dorthy found him in the Wizard of OZ. Great post Sharon

What a great analogy Nelson, and so true!

People must learn to change and grow to keep from rusting…if they want to keep moving forward in life.

Change is a scary thing. We need to remember, though, that without change, we stay right where we are. Even if that’s a good place, why not take the challenge to make it even better. And if we’re not exactly where we want to be, we must embrace change… or be resigned to stagnate.

    Thanks for the challenge, Sharon.

Awesome sharing Sharon. Staying in the comfort zone protects us from the risk in changes. However only changes can bring us to a new targets and goals. So we need to acknowledge our fears and our little voice inside our head but to stop listen to it so we can be opened to new opportunities that might bring us close to our goals or even create new ones.
I liked the “sticking your goals everywhere in the house” method.
    Seems like it’s very supportive.

Thanks Sharon for bringing up this subject – CHANGE – most people stay in their comfort zone, even in pain, because they know they can survive it. Change, even good change, is something unknown and frightening to them. I say take baby steps, take one little thing at a time to change ANY aspect of your life.
I also like your idea on goals. Those post-its really do work. There is no better feeling than crossing something off your list.
Thanks again Sharon for this great video.
