The most important piece of a successful business?. Ask any successful person and I’m sure they will tell you…MINDSET!
Most people believe that their minds control them…when in fact, its just the opposite. YOU… have the power to control your mind. How you choose to handle (or not handle) a situation will greatly affect its outcome.
In the past, (let me clarify past…is any time before this moment) when you were confronted with an situation that caused you to become uncomfortable, your mind stored, or remembered that message of fear. So in the future, whenever you are put in a similar situation, guess what?? Those same thoughts and feelings get stirred up and your mind tells you to avoid the situation. So what do you do? You run as fast as you can in the opposite direction!
Lets face it, no one wants to feel uncomfortable. People will do anything and everything in their power to avoid those uneasy feelings. That uneasyness is what causes most to avoid change. Change puts people outside of their comfort zone and we all know how people hang onto that zone for dear life! Its a safe place, no uneasy feelings, everything…exactly the same.
How many times have you run from a situation because your mind crippled you with fear?
These situations, or challenges, are simply mirror reflections of our fears…
…what a very powerful statement, really let is sink in. You will discover alot about yourself.
So now, you have a strong desire to be an entrepreneur. Do you think you will never be faced with challenges If so, think again. You will be faced with numerous. Think of the successful people you know…do you think they were never presented a challenge or two on their journey?? I bet each would tell you it made them all the more better of a person for having endured!
To become an entrepreneur or anything else you desire in life, you need to grow. If you want to grow and become comfortable, you must get uncomfortable. You must begin to look at these challenges as stepping stones bringing you closer to where you want to go. You will soon realize there is nothing to fear but the fear itself…you will become stronger from each…you will begin to welcome them with open arms. Look at each challenge and figure out what you have gained for each one is presented for a reason.
You must work on your mindset and make it ROCK SOLID so that nothing will be able to crack it. You have to develop a no matter what attitude or else you will crumble over time. Some challenges will make you stop and re-evaluate why you are doing what you are doing but a strong mindset will keep you moving forward in the right direction.
There’s a great saying I want to share with you, maybe you’ve heard it…
‘If you think you can or you think you can’t, either way, you;re right’
What powerful words. Your mindset will either make or break you! Develop your mind so that it is set to where no one or nothing can steer you off your path!

In World War I, one of the biggest problems troop commanders faced was getting their men to go “on top” during firestorms. They did everything they could to stay underground, in the trenches, where their chances of survival were highest. Commanders pried them out of the foxholes by having them get closer and closer to the action in small steps. One mission, a soldier might be given the job of throwing hand grenades. Next time, maybe he manned one of the stationery automatic weapons. The final challenge was met when he attacked enemy positions on foot, running across mine-fields armed only with a rifle in face of heavy artillery bombardments.
Everybody wants to stay safe and comfortable. But you’re right, Sharon. In the internet marketing world, you have to be willing to take on greater and greater challenges… and risk… in order to succeed. If you value safety and comfort more than success, then you have resigned yourself to safety and comfort. Success will most likely elude you until you change that mindset. You are right on the money with this post! A person’s mindset is one of the few things in life that they have ABSOLUTE control over. It just so happens to be one of the most powerful tools to create an unlimited amount of success or sink into the depths of despair as well.
On of the great ways to create a rock solid mindset which will be impenetrable to the negative outside influences you might encounter in your day to day life is by setting aside a certain period each day and immerse yourself in self development material.
If you look at every successful person within this industry each and everyone of them will tell you that it isn’t the technical skills that got them to their current status (although these skills are very important) it was their mindset and how they approached life & business.
I am really looking forward to seeing your blog develop and you along with it.
